This piece was inspired by these beautiful little birds that came to my feeder one day. I had never seen them before, but was able to take a few photos. A bird watching friends told me they were Painted Buntings. I became obsessed! These little birds are so beautiful! I also have a giant bird of paradise plant in the yard not far from the feeder, so it just made for the right combination! The vase in the painting is also part of my personal houseplant connection, making this piece just about as personal as it gets!
