I may be an Orlandonian of 20 plus years, but I grew up just outside of the Tampa Bay area. Upon reaching adulthood, Ybor City became my early stomping grounds. It was here I went to my first concerts, stepped on my first dance floors, had my first Cuban sandwich, and found my people in the Castle goths. I have always loved Ybor City; its night life, its architecture, its amazing food. They even have their own mascots, their beautiful wild chickens roaming through the city streets. Here you can have a pirate carnival, an amazing meal in a historic restaurant, dance the night away in one of its many clubs, and have your mind blown by wonderful live music. This city is a character of its own and I wanted to create a piece of art that reflected many of the ways in which this place is unique.
