Nothing moves me quite the same way as Beethoven's symphonies. So it was inevitable that Beethoven was the subject of one of my early paintings. I wanted to try and capture the color and movement I see in the darkness of one of his most brooding pieces of music. The phrase "Fate's Knocking" is what some use to describe those iconic and unforgettable opening notes to one of the world's most famous symphonies, Beethoven's 5th.
